Stonehenge HOA News - January 3, 2016
Dear Neighbors,
I hope all of you had a safe and wonderful holiday season. I’d like to take this opportunity to share my 3 goals for 2016 as your HOA president. First, I want to increase the communication between the board and association members. Letters like this one will be distributed from time to time relaying important information and encouraging everyone to contact the board with any questions or concerns. Second, I want to get more neighbors involved in the neighborhood. I hope to increase volunteer opportunities that involve one-time tasks or short-term commitments. These are opportunities that can fit into our busy schedules. The third and final goal is to update the policies and procedures. Updating these will help clarify the standards to ensure we all have a similar expectation for how the neighborhood will be run.
Here are a couple of items to share:
· Chuck Czarnik resigned from the board late in 2015. Thank you, Chuck, for your years of service on the board. You will be greatly missed.
· With Chuck’s resignation, there is now an opening on the board. If you are interested in serving on the board, please contact the board by completing the Contact Us form on the website.
· You will all be receiving a separate invitation from me to join the Next Door website and app. Some of you have already joined. This is a site dedicated to neighborhoods to share information, and there is a section on the site just for Stonehenge. Folks can share ideas, sell items, suggest businesses, ask for help, advertise events, and much, much more. The mayor’s office recently announced that emergency and safety information will be posted on the Next Door site. The sections of surrounding neighborhoods are also available. This is a great way to communicate with your neighbors. It is important to note that the Next Door site will not replace the Stonehenge HOA website. The Stonehenge website will still be the place to go for obtaining recent neighborhood news, board minutes, and official HOA documents.
· Volunteer opportunity. The Stonehenge HOA board has an immediate need for a temporary data entry position. If you or anyone in your family is interested in volunteering, please complete the Contact Us form on the website.
Speaking of the website, if you have any questions or concerns for the Stonehenge HOA board, please visit the Contact Us section at http://www.stonehengetn.org/ and fill out the form.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Jason Elder
Stonehenge HOA President
