Stonehenge HOA News - October 2, 2016

We had a great time and great weather at the annual fall picnic.  Special thanks to Donna and Mark Vincler for organizing this event and Melanie Arrowood for the pictures.

Stonehenge HOA News - September 2, 2016

  • The Stonehenge HOA Fall Picnic is Sunday, October 2nd starting at 3 pm at the playground.  Please mark your calendars.
  • The Tennessee Department of Transportation surveyed our Franklin Road entrance for possible future construction.  Tom Spencer, who is our Grounds Committee Chair, interviewed the surveyor to discover the meaning of the colored stakes.

    -   Green Stakes -- These mark the "edge of slope."  They mean that construction may reach the line formed by connecting the green points.  The operative word is may.  The final design will be determined by the engineers, so the construction may or may not reach these stakes.  From their placement, if the engineers use all the ground available to them, we may see a widening of our entrance and the loss of some of our landscaping.
    -   Red Stakes -- These mark the limits of the State's right-of-way (ROW).  Stonehenge owns the land, but the State has the legal right to use it for permanent construction back to the red stakes.  As we had previously learned, the ROW cuts almost at the center of the Stonehenge marquee in our raised stone planter.  Again, this does not mean that the State will use all of the ROW available to them, but they legally could.
    -   Orange Stakes -- These mark the extreme limits of the grounds that the State might need to use.  Since these stakes are beyond the State's legal ROW, anything permanently constructed in these areas would require the State to purchase more ROW from the Stonehenge HOA.  If the State's construction goes into these areas and nothing but the ground is disturbed and then the damage is repaired, the State can legally do this without having to purchase more ROW from us.

Stonehenge HOA News - August 4, 2016

  • School starts on Friday, August 5th.  As a friendly reminder, please watch your speed when driving through the neighborhood.
  • Stonehenge HOA election season will be coming soon.  Please consider running for a position on the HOA board.
  • The HOA's Property Inspection Committee wants to remind neighbors to please trim the grass that grows over the curb in front of their property.  The trimming is done regularly on some properties and not others.  We are hoping to have a uniformed look to the neighborhood.  For more information on the Property Inspection Program, please click on HOA Documents above for a link to the inspection guide.
