Our BlueBird Box Program
Your Stonehenge HOA is sponsoring a Bluebird Box Program in the neighborhood. We are providing homeowners with a link below for anyone who would like to purchase a bluebird box to put on their own property.
Did you know bluebirds are a natural pest control? Bluebirds are naturally omnivores. During the winter they eat berries & other fruits, but during the summer they exclusively eat insects and other bugs.
Bluebirds sing a beautiful song. Especially the males. Bluebirds are fun to watch. Thanks to their beautiful color and how many times they fly to their nesting box. You will enjoy every time you get to see them. Bluebirds are family oriented.
Several of you have asked about our current bluebird boxes and we have worked on maintaining them, but we would like to see homeowners who are interested, put up their own box on their own property and attract more of these beautiful birds to our neighborhood.
How can you be a Bluebird Landlord? Go to www.bluebirdlandlord.com
Here is your link to Amazon for bluebird boxes.

Bluebird boxes in Stonehenge that are installed on your own personal property are blanket approved and do not require an ARC form to be filled out.
Hope you will enjoy seeing these beautiful birds around our neighborhood.

Furry Friend News
The Stonehenge HOA Board of Directors has received numerous calls, texts, and emails regarding Pets.
Some of the comments/complaints are as follows:
* Dogs not on leashes -- As we all know, the City of Brentwood has a 'Leash Law' and as a dog owner, each person is required by law to keep their animal on a leash at all times when not on the owner's property.
* Dog owners not picking up the 'poop' of their animals, either in yards or in common ground -- Stonehenge recently bought and installed doggie poop stations with bags for your convenience, and we ask that you please utilize them.
* Dog owners taking animals into the playground, especially when families are utilizing the playground with their children -- Our playground is for the enjoyment of all residents in Stonehenge, especially our children. The playground is not for pets because uncollected poop isn't sanitary.
* Dogs 'doing their business' in the beds on the mulched corners throughout our neighborhood -- In the next few weeks we will have our landscaped corner beds re-mulched, and we need to keep them looking nice and not being used as a pet toilet place. The mulching is expensive and dogs quickly ruin these beds and some of the plants that they urinate on. Please remember to utilize our doggie bags or bring your own while walking your pet. The landscaping should be strictly off-limits to all pets, whether on a leash or not.
As a resident of Stonehenge, it is a pet owner's responsibility to maintain your pet on a leash at all times when not on your property. Some of our residents and walkers are fearful of strange dogs and do not appreciate these animals running loose and potentially coming into contact with them. You may know that your pet is friendly and harmless, but other residents may not know this when a strange dog approaches them.
Our families enjoy the use of our Common Ground for activities with their children, and dodging or stepping in doggie poop is both hazardous and a great nuisance. Please be a courteous neighbor and leash your dog and 'always pick up the poop' to keep our grounds clean and enjoyable for all.
Moving forward, if the Board receives further complaints regarding pet owners' violations, there may be individual letters mailed to pet owners, and potential fines for further violations. No one wants to be "the pet police", so please do your part to make sure further enforcement of common courtesy doesn't become necessary.
Thanks to all of our residents who are mindful of their pets, and we ask that all of us work together to make Stonehenge an enjoyable place for all to live and play
Respectfully,
Stonehenge HOA Board of Directors

* NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROGRAM
We wanted to let you know we are revamping our Neighborhood Watch program. An organized neighborhood watch group can help prevent crime through awareness and relationships among neighbors and local law enforcement. Our contacts, Brentwood Police Officer Sam Bady and Officer Colin Lane did a great job with a presentation on our Zoom call. Some of the highlights of the call were to establish the need for the watch program and do we have high amount of crime here. As neighbors, we need to talk to each other, encourage each other to participate whether its a window watcher or a street captain. Everyone can help!
Next was to establish a coordinator and street captains for our subdivision. Also, hold an official neighborhood watch meeting, which we hope will be this spring or summer at the latest. Officer Bady encouraged everyone to follow the Brentwood Police Dept. website, where you can sign up for crime alerts in this area. Both he and Officer Lane reminded us not to put ourselves in harm's way, but to call Brentwood Police and report any crime or unusual activity. Neighborhood Watch signs, RING units and security alarms are very essential in safety of our homes and property.
Please check out the video in the Neighborhood News Tab for Officer Bady reviewing home safety. Their office will come out to do a free Home Security Assessment for your home.
Be safe!
*Please browse the tabs on the website.
There are new tabs titled; "History of Stonehenge", Entrances Survey", "Entrance Updates", "Neighborhood News", and "Community News". There will be two surveys, one for the entrance at Franklin road, and an additional survey for the entrance at Robert E. Lee.
If you ever have any questions please feel free to fill out the "contact us" form here. This sends your questions to "all" board members and one of us will usually respond fairly quick. If you have any trouble or would prefer to call a board member feel free to do that as well. We are always available for multiple forms of communication, and we are happy to help.
